Ghana Eyes Tourism Growth With Emirates Airline Collaboration

The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has called on Emirates to promote Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural attractions on its flights to help drive international tourist arrivals.

According to the Minister, Ghana boasts a wealth of tourism assets — from historic slave castles and vibrant festivals to pristine beaches and wildlife reserves — that deserve greater global visibility. She emphasized that showcasing these attractions through Emirates’ in-flight entertainment systems, magazines, and promotional campaigns could significantly position Ghana as a preferred destination for travelers across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.

Hon. Gomashie noted that strategic partnerships between the tourism sector and major international airlines are essential to expanding Ghana’s global reach. She stressed that tourism remains a key pillar for economic growth, job creation, and cultural exchange, and increased international exposure would further strengthen the country’s creative arts and hospitality industries.
