Luther Azameti — better known as Papi Adabraka (The King), one half of the beloved hiplife duo 5Five — is preparing to make his next major move. The Accra-born artist has announced an upcoming EP slated for release this April, adding another significant chapter to a solo career he has been steadily building since the group’s eventual split.
While the EP’s title remains under wraps, Papi offered fans a glimpse into what to expect during a candid interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM. The project will comprise six tracks and will feature a selection of artists yet to be officially revealed — details that have only heightened the anticipation among supporters who have closely followed his transition from group stardom to solo artistry.
Papi and 5Five once held a firm grip on Ghana’s hiplife scene, delivering crowd favourites such as ‘African Gurlz’ and ‘Muje Baya’ that cemented the duo’s place in the country’s musical consciousness.

Since going independent, Papi has been far from idle — making his presence felt through fiery cypher appearances, a string of freestyles, and earlier solo work including his Made In Adabraka EP, a project that signalled the artistic direction he was intent on pursuing.
The April EP is expected to reflect how far Papi has come as a solo act — fresh sonics, a sharpened artistic identity, and the kind of confident reinvention that reminds audiences why his voice has always been worth listening to. For fans of Ghanaian hiplife, it is shaping up to be one of the more compelling releases of the year.
