Richard “Ako” Gunn, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) media team, has urged the public not to confuse his self-confidence and direct approach with conceit.
Ako Gunn stated on Peace FM’s morning show “Kokorokoo” that he is frequently misinterpreted due to the way he shares his opinions, emphasizing that he maintains respect despite being vocal.
In response to his detractors, he said:
“Do not associate arrogance with me,” he said, clarifying that his strategy is motivated by passion and a desire to uphold his opinions on political and national matters rather than disparage others.
Political discussions can be intense, Gunn continued, but he emphasized that voicing strong beliefs should not be seen as disrespectful or arrogant. He went on to say that he thinks different viewpoints are crucial in a democratic society and that he values constructive participation.
Ako Gunn is now a well-known figure in Ghanaian politics, frequently offering commentary on issues pertaining to public policy, government, and the NDC.
