Just when it seemed Bianca Censori might be dialling back her boldest fashion moments, the model and architect has served up another head-turning look — and the internet has taken notice.
Censori, 31, posted to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, May 9, wearing skintight grey leggings beneath a black monokini that left very little to the imagination.
The skimpy one-piece was paired with heels, her light brown hair worn loose — a look entirely consistent with the daring aesthetic she has made her trademark since stepping into the global spotlight as the wife of rapper Kanye West, to whom she has been married since 2022.
The May 9 post is far from an isolated moment. Just weeks earlier, Censori was photographed in a strikingly similar silhouette — a nude-coloured bodysuit layered over metallic silver tights — while out with West, 48, at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles in April. The formula is one she has returned to repeatedly: form-fitting base layers, a daring one-piece, heels, and hair down.
What makes Censori’s fashion story genuinely compelling is the contrast it throws up. Late last month, she appeared almost unrecognisable when she set aside her signature look entirely to serve as a guest critic at the Advanced Studio IV Final Reviews at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in New York City.
For that occasion, Censori — who holds a degree in architecture — opted for a polished all-black ensemble: a turtleneck, coordinated jacket, knee-length leather skirt, and over-the-knee leather boots. It was a reminder that the woman behind the viral fashion moments is also a credentialled professional in an entirely different field.
Kanye West Has No Right To Enter The UK Again
Earlier this year, Censori’s wardrobe choices attracted attention of a more formal kind. In February, Los Angeles judge Brock T. Hammond issued a pointed warning during Kanye West’s trial over a lawsuit filed by a construction worker tied to the failed remodelling of his Malibu mansion — stating that everyone present must comply with a basic dress code or face being turned away, with sunglasses and hats also prohibited.
Censori complied. She arrived at the courthouse in March in a buttoned-up black cardigan and a long black pencil skirt — understated, appropriate, and a long way from her Instagram aesthetic.
Whether by design or instinct, Bianca Censori has become one of fashion’s most talked-about figures — not for following trends, but for consistently defying expectations of what comes next.
