Media personality Doreen Avio has celebrated a major milestone in her family as her daughter, Akua, turns 18 years old.
In a heartfelt message shared on her daughter’s birthday, Doreen reflected on her journey as a mother, revealing the fears, challenges, and unexpected blessings she experienced over the past 18 years.
“My mind was, ‘How am I going to take care of her?’ While I was worried and afraid, God had already gone ahead of me and made a way,” she wrote. “And for 18 beautiful years, He has carried us through every season.”

Doreen also revealed that her daughter has been a source of inspiration throughout her career journey in the media industry, noting that her children have been her motivation through life’s ups and downs.
“You are truly the best decision I ever made,” she said, adding that Akua also serves as a role model to her younger sister.
