Ghana Is Worse Off Under NDC — Miracles Aboagye

Dennis Miracles Aboagye

NPP communicator Dennis Miracles Aboagye has taken a swipe at the ruling NDC government, asserting that Ghanaians are experiencing a worse standard of living under its watch. He made the remarks on GHOne TV in Accra.

He launched a sharp critique of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, asserting that living conditions in Ghana have deteriorated since the party assumed office.

Aboagye spoke candidly about what he described as a troubling decline in the country’s overall wellbeing under the current administration.

“Things Have Gotten Worse”, he said.

Aboagye did not mince words in his assessment, arguing that key indicators of national progress — including the economy, public services and the general welfare of ordinary Ghanaians — have worsened under the NDC’s stewardship.

While he acknowledged the challenges Ghana faced under the previous NPP administration, he maintained that the NDC’s return to power has failed to deliver the change and relief Ghanaians were promised during the 2024 general elections.

The remarks form part of a broader pattern of criticism from the NPP, which has been mounting sustained opposition pressure on the Mahama-led government since it took office. The party has consistently questioned the NDC’s handling of the economy, governance and social delivery, urging the government to prioritise the needs of ordinary citizens.

Aboagye’s comments come at a politically charged period, as the NDC government continues to roll out its policy agenda, including its anti-corruption initiative, Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), and other flagship programmes outlined in President John Dramani Mahama’s State of the Nation Address.
