After weathering a legal battle, a pandemic-forced cancellation, and a remarkable solo career resurgence, the Pussycat Dolls appear to be making their long-awaited return. According to a source, the iconic pop group is preparing for a world tour following a 16-year hiatus, with several U.S. dates expected. Most notably, frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger is said to be “definitely back” with the band.
The group originally disbanded in 2010 following the conclusion of a tour, with a planned 2020 reunion ultimately derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. What followed was a drawn-out legal dispute between Scherzinger and the group’s founder, Robin Antin, stemming from the canceled tour. Court filings alleged that Scherzinger had publicly committed to participating but later demanded 75% of the profits and full creative control — terms Antin described as “extortion.”

The two parties reached a settlement in 2024. In the years between, Scherzinger’s career reached new heights. Her portrayal of Norma Desmond in the 2023 West End revival of Sunset Boulevard earned widespread critical acclaim, and the production’s subsequent Broadway run culminated in Scherzinger winning the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical.
Signs of a reunion have been building quietly. The group has already launched a new website under the name “pcdforever,” and Scherzinger herself did not rule out a comeback as recently as 2024, when she was preparing for her Broadway debut.
It remains unclear how many of the original members will participate in the upcoming tour.
