Ghana Chamber Of Mines Unveils New Leadership: Angela Attieh Rises To First Vice President

The Ghana Chamber of Mines has ushered in a fresh leadership team, with Angela D. Attieh, Chief Executive of Nguvu Holdings, elevated from Second Vice President to First Vice President of the Chamber.

Stepping into the role she vacates as Second Vice President is Danquah Addo-Yobo, Country Manager of Newmont Ghana.

A Mining Executive with Deep Industry Roots

Attieh brings more than 25 years of experience spanning finance, administration, mining operations, and strategic business growth across the African continent to her new role. Her career includes a long stint as Executive Director of the BCM Group, a mining contracting firm, where she oversaw finance and administration for over two and a half decades.

Before that, she built a strong foundation at KPMG, and throughout her career she has been instrumental in scaling businesses across multiple African markets, including Ghana, Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso.

Attieh’s professional journey is backed by a robust academic record. She holds an Executive MBA from Manchester University, a Programme for Leadership Development (PLD) certification from Harvard, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Ghana, a combination of qualifications that underscores the depth of expertise now guiding the Chamber’s leadership.

Her elevation to First Vice President, alongside Addo-Yobo’s election, signals a new chapter for the Chamber as it continues to represent and advance the interests of Ghana’s mining sector.
