Dr. Addo Kufuor Celebrates His Special Birthday With NPP Leadership

At a special lunch honoring Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor’s birthday, members of the New Patriotic Party joined former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

Beyond their titles and illustrious years of public service, a number of the NPP gurus had the honor of seeing the two brothers celebrate life, share memories, and embrace the blessing of growing older together.

Dr. Addo Kufuor, a former Member of Parliament for Manhyia from 1997 to 2008 and former Minister of Defense from 2001 to 2007, turned 86 on July 14. Many members of the NPP leadership, including former Energy and Education Minister Mathew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, had a great time with the family.

Dr. Addo Kufuor is a politician as well as a medical professional (consulting physician).

In addition to teaching part-time at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Medical School, he established the Kufuor Clinic in Kumasi in 1978. Additionally, from 1992 to 1995, he presided over the Ghana Medical Association.

In addition to receiving the Order of the Volta (Companion) for his achievements to healthcare and a Gold Medal for exceptional medical practice from the Ghana Medical and Dental Council, he became the first Chancellor of Kumasi Technical University in 2022.

For his contributions to Ghanaian health, public service, and national development, Dr. Addo Kufuor is highly esteemed.
