The Big Dream Is To Win CAF Champions League Trophy In Tarkwa— Medeama SC Boss

Moses Armah Parker

Moses Armah Parker, president of Medeama SC, says his long-standing goal is to eventually raise the coveted cup in the mining town in addition to seeing the CAF Champions League played in Tarkwa.

Parker stated that bringing Africa’s top club competition to Tarkwa has been a personal dream since he took over the team, speaking before of Medeama’s historic CAF Champions League campaign.

“In the beginning, that was my wish and it’s coming through. I’ve not been there yet until I hold the CAF Champions League in Tarkwa,” he said.

Medeama are set to make history by hosting continental football at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa. The stadium has been approved to stage the club’s CAF Champions League matches, giving supporters in Tarkwa and the wider Western Region the opportunity to watch top-level African club football on home soil.

This comes after Medeama won the Ghana Premier League in 2025–2026, their second league championship in the club’s history. Their return to Africa’s top club tournament was guaranteed by the accomplishment.

But Parker will not set low goals. The club president has now made it apparent that his ultimate goal goes beyond qualifying, despite having previously declared that Medeama intends to go to the group stage and “do more.”

Medeama SC’s TnA Stadium Approved By CAF For Continental Football

In the first preliminary round of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League, Medeama will play five-time African champions TP Mazembe. The first leg will be held at Tarkwa’s TnA Stadium, and the second leg will be held in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Playing Champions League games at Tarkwa fulfills a significant portion of Parker’s ambition for the team, but winning the trophy there would be the ultimate accomplishment.

As the Medeama team is ready to represent Ghana on the continental level, the ambitious goal reflects the team’s growing confidence.

Medeama will be hopeful that their historic Tarkwa campaign can finally culminate in the moment Parker had envisioned: lifting the CAF Champions League trophy in Tarkwa, given the TnA Stadium’s home advantage and the team’s resolve to advance far into the competition.
