Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has confirmed that Ghanaian musician Barosky has been safely returned to Ghana from Manchester, UK.
The development comes after worries about the artist’s challenging conditions in Manchester gained public attention after the authorities were made aware of his predicament.
In a statement, Mr. Ablakwa acknowledged that Barosky’s return had been handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, characterizing it as a component of the government’s consular role.
The Foreign Affairs Minister declared,
“I can confirm that we have repatriated Barosky and he is safely back with us in Ghana,” the Foreign Affairs Minister stated
He revealed that Barosky’s repatriation, which was finished yesterday nite, was entirely funded by the Foreign Ministry.
In addition to returning him home, the Ministry is offering further assistance to aid in the artist’s recuperation and life reconstruction.

In an effort to aid Barosky in reintegrating into Ghanaian society, Mr. Ablakwa revealed that he will receive both financial and psychosocial support.
The Minister thanked Ghanaians for bringing the artist’s predicament to the public’s attention, especially broadcaster Nana Romeo.
“We are also providing psychosocial support and a reintegration financial assistance,” Mr Ablakwa said.
Mr. Ablakwa reiterated the government’s commitment to protecting and assisting Ghanaians abroad, emphasizing that the authorities would continue to work to ensure citizens in distress are not abandoned.
He also praised Ghana’s High Commission in the UK for what he described as impressive coordination in facilitating the repatriation. The development highlights the role of Ghana’s diplomatic missions in helping citizens who encounter serious difficulties while abroad. Barosky’s safe return is likely to bring relief for many Ghanaians.
