Maurice Ampaw (Esq.) has stirred controversy after making strong remarks about the legal situation involving Kwame Baffoe Abronye, popularly known as Abronye. Speaking during a discussion on his program on Wontumi TV, Maurice Ampaw claimed that Abronye’s health condition has worsened significantly, alleging that his blood pressure level had risen above 200.
According to him, the condition is extremely worrying and should be treated with urgency considering the stress surrounding the politician’s ongoing legal troubles.
Ampaw further alleged that the judge handling the matter was fully aware of Abronye’s health challenges but appeared unconcerned about his predicament. The outspoken lawyer expressed disappointment over the situation, suggesting that the court should show some level of human consideration regarding Abronye’s medical state.

The comments have since generated intense reactions online, with supporters of the politician sympathizing with him and calling for compassion. Others, however, argue that health concerns should not interfere with the judicial process and that the law must take its course regardless of political affiliation.
Abronye, a known member of the opposition NPP and in Ghana’s political landscape, has remained in the headlines in recent weeks over issues connected to his legal battles and public commentary. The latest claims by Maurice Ampaw have further intensified public debate across social and political circles in Ghana.
