Karolína Muchová has booked her place in the 2026 Wimbledon women’s singles final after outlasting Coco Gauff in a rollercoaster semifinal battle on Centre Court.
The 10th seed edged out seventh-seeded Gauff 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (12-10) in sweltering conditions, surviving a match point in a gripping third-set super tiebreak before sealing the biggest win of her grass-court career. It marked the first time Muchová had beaten Gauff in seven meetings, and only her second win of the season after facing match point.

The result sends the 29-year-old Czech into her first-ever Wimbledon final and just her second Grand Slam final overall, keeping alive her pursuit of a maiden major title. Along the way, she has now beaten three Grand Slam champions in succession — Barbora Krejčíková, Naomi Osaka, and now Gauff.
She’ll face fellow Czech Linda Nosková in Saturday’s final, after Nosková swept past Marta Kostyuk 6-4, 6-4 in the other semifinal. It sets up an all-Czech Wimbledon final for the first time in the tournament’s history and guarantees a first-time Grand Slam champion, with both women chasing their maiden major title.
