Government Imports 100 Buses To Make Transport Easy For The People

The Government of Ghana has taken delivery of 100 new 29-seater buses as part of efforts to address the recent road transport challenges affecting commuters across the country.

The buses form part of a larger procurement of 300 vehicles aimed at strengthening public transport services and improving mobility for passengers.

According to officials, the first batch of 100 buses has already arrived in the country, while the remaining vehicles are expected in phases later in the year. A second batch of 100 buses is scheduled to arrive in August, with the final batch of 100 expected in November.

The initiative is intended to ease the pressure on Ghana’s road transport system, particularly in major urban centers where commuters have recently faced difficulties due to limited transport options and rising demand.

Authorities say the buses will be deployed strategically to support public transport operations and ensure smoother movement of passengers across key routes.
