Akwasi Addai Odike, a politician and businessman, has pleaded with President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that chiefs accused of selling the same piece of land to several persons are also investigated by the new Tribunal Court his administration intends to establish.
On Monday, July 20, 2026, Odike made the case that the common practice of numerous land purchases has resulted in large financial losses, protracted legal challenges, and insecurity for many Ghanaians during an interview with host Saddick Adams on Angel FM’s morning show.
He contends that, in cases where there is solid proof of illegal property deals, the proposed tribunal court should hold traditional authority liable in addition to public officials and other groups of people.
