Journalist Samson Lardy Anyenini has lauded President John Dramani Mahama for his economic understanding and governance approach following his address at the Kwahu Business Forum. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Anyenini highlighted Mahama’s hands-on grasp of economic matters and commended his tolerance and leadership style.
“I have listened to JM carefully, including his choice of extempore delivery at the Kwahu Business Forum,” Anyenini wrote. “His hands-on understanding of the economy adds a great deal to his deeply tolerant nature, for governance.”
The Attorney-journalist also referenced Gabby Otchere-Darko’s public praise from former President [Mahama], noting that experience and a second opportunity in office appear to contribute to Mahama’s preparedness for leadership.
“It makes sense when Gabby said he was the most prepared for the presidency. There must be something about the experience and the second opportunity at the job for JM,” Anyenini said.
While praising the President, Anyenini reminded Ghanaians that it is still early in Mahama’s current term. He expressed hope for a government that is genuinely purposeful and able to deliver tangible economic progress.
“Yet, it is still early days. May God bless Ghana with genuinely purposeful leadership that delivers a better economy and true legacy,” he concluded.
The Kwahu Business Forum, which brings together policymakers, investors, and business leaders, serves as a platform for discussing economic strategies and policy directions. Mahama’s extempore approach in addressing participants was noted by several attendees as reflecting both his familiarity with economic issues and his ability to engage spontaneously with stakeholders.
