Ghana’s Auditor-General, Dr. Pamela Graham, has emphasised the importance of collaboration among public institutions in strengthening accountability, transparency and good governance in the country.
Reflecting on her first month in office, Dr. Graham said her engagements with staff, key stakeholders, public sector institutions and development partners had reinforced the need for an “all hands on deck” approach to improving governance.
She noted that her interactions had included a Service-wide durbar with staff, meetings with key stakeholders across the public sector and engagements with development partners.

According to the Auditor-General, one key message has consistently emerged from these engagements: progress is best achieved when institutions work together with a shared commitment to serving the people of Ghana.

She also indicated her intention to deepen these relationships, saying she looks forward to engaging more institutions in the coming months and years.
