Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson have officially married, exchanging vows in an intimate ceremony on a private island in the Bahamas on Saturday — a deliberately understated celebration that stood in contrast to the grand White House wedding the couple had originally envisioned.
The occasion was kept deliberately small, with roughly 40 guests in attendance. Among them were Don Jr.’s five children, his siblings Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany Trump, along with their respective spouses. Anderson’s family and a small circle of her closest friends completed the intimate gathering.
The warmth of the occasion was perhaps best captured by Eric Trump, who offered a glowing tribute to the newlyweds.
“Don and Bettina are wonderful together. I’m so proud to have witnessed so much of their journey as a couple. They truly light up around each other and it’s been amazing watching their story unfold. Couldn’t be happier for them on their special day,” he told Page Six.
The Bahamas setting was not the couple’s original plan. Don Jr. and Anderson had explored the possibility of marrying at the White House, but ultimately opted for a more private affair amid the ongoing conflict in Iran. The pair are, however, expected to host a larger celebration with extended family and friends later in the year — potentially at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Notably absent from the ceremony was President Donald Trump himself. The Commander-in-Chief, who had legally officiated the couple’s paperwork in Palm Beach, Florida, the day prior, cited pressing government duties as the reason for his absence.
“While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so,” the President wrote on Truth Social. “I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time.”
Don Jr. and Anderson’s relationship began in December 2024, shortly after his long-running engagement to former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle came to an end. Prior to Anderson, Don Jr. was married to Vanessa Trump from 2005 to 2018, with whom he shares five children.
For Anderson, Saturday marked her first trip down the aisle. She was previously engaged to chewing gum heir Beau Wrigley, but had never been married.
